Mark Group tunes organization to ambitious growth strategy

After a period of consolidation, the Mark Group now focuses even more on local expertise and prime customer service. The company has been reorganized in order to strengthen the local business units, and customer care is a key driver in the new organization.

The Mark Group, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of job shop data collection, job & roster planning and Time & Attendance systems, today revealed a new organization. The publication was made by Carlos M. Christensen who was appointed Group President and CEO of the Mark Group in December 2003.

The reorganization follows a period of consolidation and is the first step in an ambitious growth strategy that the company is rolling out. Customer service is a key element in the strategy that builds on strong local presence and thorough knowledge about local market conditions. Each of the four business units in the UK, Denmark, Sweden and Norway has been strengthened in order to build a customer-driven organization and prepare the company for rapid growth.

- We have turned our business units into tactical centers with strong local expertise supported by dedicated back up functions in the head office. Customers in all countries where we are represented will benefit more from the strong competencies that have been built up in our company during the last 25 years. We have built an agile, customer centric organization that aims to be an even better partner for our customers, says Carlos M. Christensen, Group President and CEO of the Mark Group.

The first steps have been taken to integrate the business units in the UK, Sweden, Norway and Denmark in a close net with the head office. A clear distinction has been made between pre-sales and post-sales consulting & support which is now handled by dedicated experts in each field. New is also a second level support center in the head office which backs up the local support departments in the business units.

- Our aim is to serve our customers in the best way and at the same time create room for growth in new markets and new segments. I am confident that we have created the perfect platform for realizing these goals with the establishment of this new organization, says Carlos M. Christensen.
